AKS officers look for missing woman

Officers of the Anti-Kidnapping Squad have taken over the case of missing Zorina Mahaboob, 61, of Old Southern Main Road, Chase Village. On July 3, Mahaboob, a mother of three, left her home for clinic at the San Fernando Teaching Hospital at about 7.30 am and has never seen since.

Today marks 12 days since her disappearance.Several searches for her by relatives and investigating officers from the Freeport Police Station have so far proven to be unsuccessful.

Speaking with the T&T Guardian yesterday, Mahaboob’s daughter, Shairoon Rampersad said the family is holding on to hope and praying for her safe return.

Rampersad said that on Monday, Mahaboob along with a close male relative is scheduled to reappear before a court for an ongoing matter.
