Be a blessing to others
Never underestimate what was placed in you as a person. I strongly believe that every one of us has some unique talent, gifting or skill placed in us by God to touch the lives of others. While it varies in many instances from person to person, they are all relevant in today’s society. That is why we all need to be careful in passing any form of judgement on anyone; for what may be insignificant to you, can be another individual’s treasure. We were all created with the ability to be a blessing to each other, there is no room for selfish behaviour in this life.
Our Lord said in Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” In a nutshell, what He was saying is that my life, as I exist in this body, is to be a blessing to those I come in contact with. When you look at His life (Jesus) you cannot miss the fact that it was surrounded by people whom He daily ministered to. The gifting which He was endowed with did not cause any pride or haughtiness to become any part of His personality.
He wasted no opportunity to bless others with it. The scripture tells us in James 1:17, “Every good gift and perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights.” What is in you, that good gift, was placed there by God to be a blessing. While you will be the beneficiary of this gifting, talent or skill, do not limit yourself. There is a world, a generation waiting for you to show up to raise them up, edify, exhort, direct, and give advice.
Whatever God has placed in your frame has a divine reason attached to it and while it may not be your moment at present, your time will come. Just as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, openings and favours to be a blessing will manifest itself. As you wait, be sensitive to those who come across your path, do not miss that golden opportunity.
My mind reflects on Queen Esther placed in the king’s palace, a woman gifted with beauty but with a purpose attached to it. Queen Esther’s moment arrived and history will show that she saved her people from destruction. She was a blessing to them.
I conclude by saying there is no insignificant person on this earth, you simply have not found your rightful place. Once you are determined to unearth whatever it is, believe me, the Father will cause it to be made manifest in your life. Remember, you were blessed to be a blessing!
