The other day, I was fortunate to attend the launching of the book The Indian Diaspora in the Caribbean by Dr Kumar Mahabir in Theatre 2 at NAPA. It was shocking to see that there was no screen in the theatre and the convex wall had to be used as a substitute.

In recent years I have observed that suggestive lyrics with sweet melodies and a soca parang beat are being passed off as soca parang. Songs with suggestive lyrics are suitable for Carnival but they are being brought into the Christmas season.
